Espresso Martini
–
This is an updated version of the Dick Bradsell classic, made for a young lady, sometimes claimed to be Naomi Campbell or Kate Moss, who asked for "something to wake me up, then fuck me up".

This is slightly less sweet when using The Gentleman’s Coffee Liqueur as it uses about ¼ of the sugar of Kahlua. As a result we’ll bump the simple syrup up slightly. It works best with fresh espresso but it’s more than acceptable to use a cold brew coffee as it has a much longer shelf life.

INGREDIENTS
-
30 to 45ml Vodka
-
30ml Coffee Liqueur
-
30ml Cold brew coffee or espresso
-
15ml Simple Syrup to taste

METHOD
Add to a cocktail shaker over ice, shake and double strain into a coup or over the rocks. Garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel or a fresh orange peel.

VARIATIONS
The easiest variations of this involve swapping the base spirit. The Gentleman’s Espresso Martini is made with Rye whisky and orange bitters. Bourbon and Rum make great alternatives. Another excellent one is using a peaty scotch. Play around and find one that works for you.
